Finally Home

No, I didn't go anywhere.

"Finally Home" is the title of the layout I did yesterday.

I did a little retail therapy (because the rain has been giving me the blues).

Oooooooh. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Mmmmmmmm.
(Right?)

I grabbed a dark piece of cardstock since those colors are so bright and here's what I ended up with:

I wish I had thought to do step-by-step photos of this.
It was a flurry of stamping, painting, ripping washi tape apart, layering, and looping twine.

Most, if not all, ideas were ones I "borrowed" from

Haven't seen their work? You need to.

I layered some strips of Bella Blvd {Tail Waggers & Cat Naps}
and put my title right on top.
The little dog house is cut from one of the strips.

I hid the journaling behind the photo.
A little tug on the twine "handle" and it slides right out.

More twine and more of that Bella Blvd. paper.

It's a fun little layout highlighting when we brought Daisy home.
She was the cutest, smelliest, most lovable little thing.
She still is. Except she's BIG.

The painting? Probably the most fun I've had crafting in a LONG time.
Tomorrow, I tackle canvas. Wish me luck!
