First I'd like to thank each and every one of you for the overwhelming response to the
"Well OWL Be Blog Hop".
I will be visiting all of your blogs in the upcoming days if I haven't done so already!
Today I have a special layout to share.
Of course it's not at all what I envisioned when I started!
I grabbed a stamp, some Smooch, acrylic paint, a pen, fussy-cut mini hexagon strips
and went to work.
Loving the background....
Flipping through my photos and found these heartwarming shots
of my Mom and niece at our rehearsal dinner.
Twine . . .
Title . . .
Something handwritten (I'm trying to do more of this) . . .
I love it!
I'm entering this in the ScrapFit Workout #70 : Develop Your Own Polaroid.
My "Polaroid" is actually a piece of chipboard that I painted and inked and dressed up with a sticker.
And now it's WINNER time!
I had 88 fabulous comments on my owl-themed mini album,
and Random.org has chosen:

ReplyDeleteGorgeous page! I love the stamped background. I did something like this a while back, using bubble wrap and only one color. I decided I didn't like it and put it aside. Now you've inspired me to maybe add in more color and take a second look at it. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great color take on the Polaroid idea Fun with the twine added as well.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful layout!! It is nice to be inspired by photos we sometimes forget or set aside :)
ReplyDeleteVery fun! Love all that twine!
ReplyDeleteWow, I really LOVE your layout! It includes so many of my favorite things like craft paper, twine, honeycomb and super adorable photos :) I like how it doesn't follow a "traditional" scrap layout and to me resembles more of a smashbook kind of of style. If I created something like that, it'd go in a shadow box frame for all to see! Big congrats to Susan :)
ReplyDeleteLurrrrve! It's such a fun design, and I love that you used red and blue on a girl layout.
ReplyDeleteGreat page...very creative making your own backgound.

ReplyDeleteGreat layout! I need to use my handwriting more too.
ReplyDeleteWow, love your stamped background, looped twine, and great personal touch to use your own handwriting!! Love that you altered your chipboard Polaroid too!! Thanks for working out with us at ScrapFIT! ~ Blessings
